New site or redesign: start from what matters
For a new website, we start from your goals and the content available. For a redesign, I begin by identifying the useful pages, existing links, forms and the elements to keep.
A new design is no reason to change every address. Relevant URLs are kept wherever possible; any necessary changes must come with appropriate redirects.
The scope is defined before the work begins
To compare website quotes, ask for a written scope:
- Pages and content: structure, copywriting or integration of the texts you provide, images and languages.
- Features: forms, connections to your tools and migration of existing content.
- Delivery: mobile checks, access and the agreed handover.
- Recurring costs: domain, hosting, licences and maintenance, included or invoiced separately.
On WordPress, I favour a structure you will be able to find again in the editor. The handover depends on the content you want to manage yourself.
What happens after launch?
The checks cover navigation, links, forms and mobile display in particular. Search visibility also depends on the quality of the information and how it evolves: a good-looking website is not enough to guarantee a position on Google.
